Golf course mobile ordering
Golf course food ordering, without the app.
A QR sticker in every cart turns each round into a storefront. Golfers scan with their phone camera, order food and drinks, pay, and tell you which hole to bring it to. Your kitchen gets the ticket. Your beverage cart gets the order. Nobody downloads anything.
Most on-course food and beverage is lost to timing: the beverage cart is on the 3rd when the group on the 14th wants a drink. Mobile ordering gives that group a way to ask — and gives your cart attendant a reason to drive to them instead of the whole loop.
How golf course QR code ordering works
A QR code in every cart
Print a QR sticker for every cart from your console. Each code knows its cart, so every ticket says which cart ordered.
Menu, modifiers, pay
Your menu with photos and modifiers. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — with FairwayTab Pay or Clover the golfer pays before the kitchen fires, so there are no tabs to chase.
“Where should we bring it?”
The golfer picks the hole. If they allow location, a one-time GPS snapshot rides along too — a bonus, never a requirement.
Ticket prints, cart delivers
Food prints in the kitchen, drinks at the bar, each ticket showing the cart and the hole. The golfer’s phone shows the order’s progress.
Built for how a golf course actually runs
Delivery or pickup — or both on a schedule
Deliver to the hole, have golfers collect at the halfway house, or switch automatically: delivery through the afternoon, pickup after the cart crew goes home.
Routes to the right station
Each menu item belongs to a station. Food goes to the kitchen printer, drinks to the bar, and each station’s screen shows only its own tickets.
Alcohol rules built in
Service hours for 21+ items, per-order drink caps, ID checks at handoff and a refusal log.
Works with what you have
A Star CloudPRNT thermal printer and the tablets you already own. Payments run on FairwayTab Pay or your own Clover.
Why no-app ordering wins on the course
Golf course ordering apps ask a golfer to find an app store, download, create an account and add a card before they can buy a hot dog. A lot of golfers stop at step one — and the ones who don’t will not do it again at the next course they play.
A QR code skips every one of those steps. The phone camera opens your menu in the browser, Apple Pay or Google Pay fills in the card, and the order is in before the group reaches the green. For a course, that is the difference between an ordering channel a few regulars use and one every foursome can use on their first round.
It also keeps your brand in front: the menu carries your course name and your items, and the order lands in your kitchen and your books, not a marketplace.
Questions operators ask
Do golfers have to download an app?
No. Golfers scan the QR code in their cart and order in their phone’s browser — no app, no account, no password. That matters on a golf course: nobody wants to install something on the 6th tee to buy a sports drink.
How does the beverage cart know where to deliver?
The golfer names the hole when they order, and the cart is on every ticket. With the cart tracking add-on, orders from golfers who share their location are also pinned on a live course map.
What if a golfer doesn’t share their location?
Nothing breaks. Delivery is based on the hole the golfer picks and their cart number. Location is an optional extra, never a requirement to order.
Where do orders go?
Each item routes to its station — kitchen printer, bar printer, or a kitchen display screen. Every ticket shows the cart and the hole.
How long does setup take?
Most courses are live in an afternoon: build or sync your menu, print the cart QR stickers, connect your printer. Every plan starts with 30 days free.
How much does it cost? Are there per-order fees?
FairwayTab Course is $349/mo flat for an 18-hole course, driving ranges are $199/mo, and multi-course clubs and resorts are $549/mo. Orders are unlimited and there is no per-order platform commission. FairwayTab Pay is 3.5% of each order’s subtotal with card processing included and no setup fee; or bring your own processor and keep your own merchant rates after a one-time $299 setup. Every plan starts with 30 days free.
